USING THE LIBRARY

do I get a Library Card?

How
do I renew materials?
Renew
materials in person, over the phone (701-523-3797) or by emailing the
library at bowlib@ndsupernet.com.
Books may be renewed once if there is not a waiting list for the title.
How
do I reserve materials?
Reserves may be placed in person, over the phone (701- 523-3797) or by
emailing the library at
bowlib@ndsupernet.com. Patrons will be notified by telephone, mail
or email when the materials are available. Items will be held for one
week.
How
do I return materials?
All
materials may be dropped off at the front desk during Library hours or
in the Book/Video Drop at the front of our building.
How
long may I keep materials?
Books
3 weeks
Books on Audio Cassette or CD 3 weeks
DVDs
and Videotapes 1 week
Interlibrary Loans are due the date indicated by the lending library.
What is the fine if I do not get the materials back in time?
$.10
per day for books & audio books
$.50
per day for videos & DVDs.
What if I lose or damage an item checked out from the Library?
You
will be billed for the replacement cost of that item.
What if you don't have what I want in your Library?
The Bowman Regional Public Library is
happy to provided Inter Library Loan (ILL) services for our patrons.
This service allows you to obtain items not held in our collection.
Please stop at the Library, or call
523-3797 for more information or to place a request.

the Library?
Yes!
Volunteers are always appreciated! Ask the Librarian for details.
Does the Library
accept donations?
Yes!
The Bowman Regional Public Library encourages and appreciates gifts and
donations. Memorial gifts of books or money are also accepted.

or your organization would like to sponsor a special collection, please
contact the Librarian.

LIBRARY MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT
What Materials does the Library have available?
The
Library contains 13,000+ volumes of fiction, non-fiction, large print,
reference and children's books. The Library also has books and CDs on
tape, informational videocassettes and DVDs and nearly 100 subscriptions
to a variety of magazines. The Library also receives the Bismarck
Tribune, Dickinson Press, Nation's Center News, Adams County Record and
Bowman County Pioneer.
What electronic resources are available?

How
many public computers does the Library have available?
The
Library has seven computers connected to the internet for patron use.
Computers are available on a first-come, first served basis in 30 minute
blocks.
Does the Library have word processing computers available?
The
Library's bank of computers all have word processing software.
What other equipment is available at the Library?
A
black and white laser printer is available to patrons. Printer paper
costs $.10 per sheet and must be paid for at the conclusion of the
session.
A
photocopy machine is available. The rate is $.10 per page.
